Today I got to wear a funny hat

I've never been to the Great Hall at the University of Reading's London Road campus. In fact I'd only ever been to the London Road Campus once before for the Training to Teach workshop for PhD students. I was very impressed with the building. One of the nice things about the ceremony was that after we received our diplomas, the PhD degree recipients were invited to sit on stage with the Reading University Faculty who were `our peers'. That made us feel pretty special.
