Today I met the W&R Chambers woodblocks for the first time in person. They spoke to me. They said, “Hello, time to get your hands dirty.” And I did. Many of them that were not covered with ink were covered with graphite, which I think was used in the process of sterotyping.

The Woodblocks are kept in the NMS Centre, in Granton, Edinburgh. I went with Alison Taubman and I also had a look around the museum today, which was kind of exciting. Then I met up with Kerry Eldon, who served as my co-editor of the Art Researchers' Guide to Edinburgh for dinner.

I’m looking forward to the Scottish Heritage Consortium CDP event tomorrow.
