19th Century Money

I was fortunate enough to have dinner with my friend Helen W. and her family in Edinburgh last night. Like me she has been a librarian for ages, and is currently getting her PhD in the history of printing. After dinner we discussed 19th century currency and she even had some samples of money to show. It helped me to get my head around some of the sales records I've been looking at in the W. & R. Chambers archives.
