Some final PhD Year plans
In addition to work that I'll be doing for National Museums Scotland at the end of the year on an online resource for the W. & R. Chambers Collection, I've received word that I've got my first fellowship. It's called the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation short-term fellowship, and I'll take it up in Spring 2018 in Philadelphia, but it is nice to know that I have some things lined up while I make any revisions and look for a longer-term fellowships or post-doctoral opportunities that are a bit closer to home.
My fellowship will be an extension of some of the research I've already done on the Chambers-Lippincott partnership at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania and I image I'll be based in the same reading room that I was in previously, pictured above. Of course, unlike last time, I won't be catching a plane to Scotland to speak at a CDP Partnership event, in a post-election haze.
